It’s funny that sometimes even a small problem pisses you off so bad. Yesterday I had similar small problem. I was chatting in my MSN messenger and I noticed that the emoticon weren’t working. Even the built-in emos were not showing. When I asked my friend though, he said it was working fine at his end. He also suggested me to re-install the messenger. I was really pissed off. I thought that it was due to some virus or spyware. So, I turned to Google where I found out the answer from Ask Leo. It was nothing serious though. I simply had to check the emoticon option in MSN messenger and it worked.

Simply check the emoticon option: Tools, Options, Messages tab, and make sure the emoticons options are checked.

This was a pretty easy solution but the real cause of this was not yet found. I don’t remember myself turning that option off. So, how did that option was unchecked?
