Welcome Back !!!

With the technological advances, TV system is undergoing a revolution. Analog TV is all set to be replaced by digital TV and it is believed that by the end of the year 2012, all the TV users around the world would have switched from analog to digital broadcasting. Gradually, all the users would have to accept this advancement in the TV broadcasting.

digital-converter-box.jpgThe previous revolution occurred with the introduction of color TV; however it didn’t quite create an impact since the existing television channels were compatible with the monochrome signaling system. It didn’t require the users to change the TV equipment in order to receive TV broadcasting. All those interested in the color TV would have to change the TV equipment itself. With the digital TV transition, people using TVs that use analog signals wouldn’t be able to receive pictures/sound and they would need to upgrade their TV system that would make it capable to receive digital signals.

The older TV sets can also add a digital converter that can convert the digital signals into analog. Other options consist of digital cable TV, satellite TV and digital terrestrial TV. With the changes in the signal transmission, you would not be able to watch a program and record another on the recorder. The digital transmission involves the use of more than one digital tuner.

Apart from the inconvenience involved in Digital TV Transition, there are quite a lot of advantages attached to it. You would be able to get clearer pictures and also get a larger variety of channels since less bandwidth is required here as compared to the analog channels. More services are known to come up once the analog service is terminated. However, people will still need a lot of time to adapt to the newer technology.
